Mignonnettes are antique reproductions of small French or German
“travel dolls” meant to keep little girls busy learning to sew and take
care of their “children” during a stagecoach ride orat home quietly
industrious in the evening. The dolls that I make are 4-6 inches tall
and have glass eyes and mohair, goat hair, or dry silk wigs. Your doll may
be customized by letting me know the eye color, hair style and color, and
porcelain color that you would like. The porcelain colors that I have are
antique white, French bisque (pink flesh), or chocolate brown. Eyes may
be cobalt blue, amber brown, or blue-green. Mignonettes also make great
“dolls” for larger dolls..like Bleuette and friends!
